Innovation in Tourism Shortlist

Idiom are delighted to announce that we have been nominated and shortlisted for the “Innovation in Tourism” Scottish Thistle Award, for ‘Bonnie the Beltie’ - an innovative and industry changing Children's Book: promoting some of the best Tourism and Hospitality attractions Dumfries & Galloway have to offer!


This award recognises Businesses who have changed the boundaries within the Tourism and Hospitality Industry, by taking bold steps to make progress and innovate in the sector across the country.


This shortlist comes as Idiom prepare to launch their second book – which will be released prior to Christmas 2019.


Managing Director Lyle Hamilton commented: “This nomination is something we are extremely proud of – we pride ourselves on being able to support our customers across the South of Scotland: and this shows that our innovation and new approach to marketing is successful, and is being noticed at a national level.”


He continued: “My thanks must go to the team we have around the Idiom table, our family work very hard to continue to grow the business and provide the highest quality of support to our clients: particular mention is due to Megan Kerr, and Leoni Bunyan – who collectively wrote and published Bonnie the Beltie with Idiom – and to Jon Crawford for illustrating the book so elegantly.”

People really do notice what we do – and its shown that you don’t have to be ‘grown up’ to make change: we’re all 18 or under, and making a really big impact on the Tourism and Hospitality Sector.”
